Pondok Pesantren X di Martapura menggunakan sumur gali sebagai sumber air baku. Pengolahan air dilakukan secara sederhana dengan cara dialirkan menggunakan mesin pompa, disaring menggunakan pasir silica dan arang aktif, disterilisasi menggunakan sinar ultra violet, kemudian ditampung di tandon berkapasitas 700 liter sebelum didistribusikan melalui jaringan perpipaan ke bagian-bagian pondok pesantren. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas air minum hasil pengolahan di Pondok Pesantren X di Martapura.
Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan rancangan observasional. Contoh air diambil pada kran distribusi sebanyak 3 kali. Parameter yang diperiksa meliputi parameter fisika (suhu, warna, kekeruhan), parameter kimia (kadar besi, pH), dan parameter bakteriologi (total coliform).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan seluruh parameter fisika masih memenuhi baku mutu air minum menurut PerMenkes RI No.492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010, yaitu warna air = 1 TCU, suhu air = -1°C di bawah suhu udara, dan kekeruhan air antara 0,93 s.d. 1,49 NTU. Kadar besi sudah memenuhi baku mutu dengan nilai antara 0,00 s.d. 0,01 mg/l, sedangkan pH air dengan nilai 5 masih belum memenuhi baku mutu (6,5 s.d. 8,5). Total coliform berkisar antara 21 s.d. 64 koloni/100 ml, masih jauh di atas baku mutu sebesar 0 koloni/100 ml, sehingga dinyatakan tidak aman untuk dikonsumsi secara langsung. Kondisi ini diduga karena sinar ultra violet untuk sterilisasi sudah rusak atau kadaluwarsa.
Air hasil pengolahan di pondok pesantren X secara fisik sudah cukup baik, namun secara kimia dan bakteriologi masih belum baik. Disarankan untuk melakukan pengolahan air dengan cara netralisasi pH menggunakan larutan kapur, memperbaiki alat sterilisasi, menjaga kebersihan tendon, dan merebus air sebelum dikonsumsi.

Boarding school X in Martapura use Wells as a source of raw water. Water treatment is done simply by means of using a pump machine, filtered using silica sand and activated charcoal, sterilized using ultra violet rays, then accommodated in tandon capacity of 700 liters before being distributed through a piping network to parts of boarding schools. This research aims to determine the quality of drinking water processing results in Boarding school X in Martapura.
This research is descriptive with observational design. Examples of water taken on distribution faucets 3 times. The examined parameters include physics parameters (temperature, color, turbidity), chemical parameters (iron, pH), and bacteriological parameters (total coliform).
The results of the study showed all the parameters of physics still meet the quality of drinking water according to PerMenkes RI No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010, namely water color = 1 TCU, water temperature =-1 °c under air temperature, and the turbidity of water between 0.93 to 1.49 NTU. Iron levels have been meet the quality standards with a value between 0.00 to 0.01 mg/l, while the pH of water with a value of 5 still does not meet the quality standards (6.5 to 8.5). The Total coliform ranges from 21 to 64 colonies/100 ml, still far above the quality standard of 0 colonies/100 ml, so it is declared unsafe to be consumed directly. This condition is suspected because the ultra violet rays for sterilization are damaged or expired.
Water processing results in boarding school X physically is good enough, but chemically and bacteriology still not good. It is recommended to do water treatment by means of neutralization of pH using a lime solution, repair the sterilizer, keep the tenders clean, and boil the water before consumption.
