Efektifitas Larvasida Ekstrak Etanol Daun Bangkal Dalam Membunuh
Larva Nyamuk Aedes sp.

Demam berdarah dengue (DBD) adalah penyakit infeksi yang
disebabkan oleh virus dengue. Penggunaan larvasida kimiawi abate
(themepos) terus-menerus mengakibatkan resistensi larva nyamuk dan
pencemaran lingkungan, maka diperlukan larvasida alternatif dari
tanaman, Salah satu contoh larvasida alternatif yaitu daun Bangkal
(Nauclea subdita). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada
tidaknya efektifitas ekstrak etanol daun Bangkal terhadap mortalitas larva
nyamuk Aedes sp. Metode penelitian true experiment rancangan penelitian
posttest only control group design. Bahan penelitian daun Bangkal dan
bahan uji larva Aedes sp Instar III. Ekstrak etanol daun Bangkal diperoleh
dengan maserasi selama 3x24 jam. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap 3
kelompok, yaitu kelompok kontrol negatif, kontrol positif temephos 1 ppm
dan perlakuan konsentrasi (2%, 4%, 6%, 8% dan 10%). Masing-masing
perlakuan dengan 20 larva uji dan 4 kali pengulangan. Kematian larva
100% (20 ekor) setelah 6 jam perlakuan ada pada konsentrasi 10%, 12 jam
perlakuan ada pada konsentrasi 6% dan setelah 24 jam perlakuan ada pada
konsentrasi 4%. Estimasi LC90 perlakuan 6 jam, 12 jam dan 24 jam
terletak pada konsentrasi 9.178%, 4.969% dan 1.185%. Didapat
kesimpulan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun Bangkal (Nauclea subdita) efektif
dalam membunuh larva Aedes sp. Disarankan pada peneliti selanjutnya
melakukan uji pendahuluan untuk menentukan konsentrasi ekstrak etanol
daun Bangkal dengan konsentrasi lebih rendah yang efektif dalam
membunuh populasi larva uji terhadap spesies yang berbeda dan
melakukan penelitian dengan mencoba pelarut dan metode yang berbeda
sehingga dapat diketahui hasil ekstraksi yang lebih optimal.

ABSTRACT
Effectiveness of Bangkal Leaf Ethanol Extract Larvicidal in Killing
Aedes sp. mosquito larvae

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus.
The continuous use of the chemical abate (themepos) larvicides has resulted in
mosquito larvae resistance and environmental pollution, so alternative larvicides from
plants are needed. One example of an alternative larvicide is Bangkal leaves (Nauclea
subdita). The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was effectiveness
of the ethanol extract of Bangkal leaves on the mortality of Aedes sp. mosquito
larvae. The research method is true experiment research design posttest only control
group design. Bangkal leaf research material and Aedes sp Instar III larvae test
material. The ethanol extract of Bangkal leaves was obtained by maceration for 3x24
hours. Tests were carried out on 3 groups, namely the negative control group, the
positive control group of 1 ppm temephos and the concentration treatment (2%, 4%,
6%, 8% and 10%). Each treatment with 20 test larvae and 4 repetitions. Larvae
mortality was 100% (20 tails) after 6 hours of treatment at a concentration of 10%, 12
hours of treatment at a concentration of 6% and after 24 hours of treatment at a
concentration of 4%. LC90 estimation for 6 hours, 12 hours and 24 hours treatment is
located at concentrations of 9.178%, 4.969% and 1.185%. It was concluded that the
ethanol extract of Bangkal leaves (Nauclea subdita) was effective in killing Aedes sp.
larvae. It is recommended that the next researcher conduct a preliminary test to
determine the concentration of the ethanol extract of Bangkal leaves with a lower
concentration that is effective in killing the test larvae population of different species
and conduct research by trying different solvents and methods so that more optimal
extraction results can be identified.
