Speedboat merupakan salah satu sarana transportasi sungai yang masih banyak digunakan di Kabupaten Barito Utara. Speedboat merupakan alat transportasi air tercepat yang mampu menjangkau daerah-daerah yang tidak bisa diakses oleh transporasi darat. Mesin speedboat mengeluarkan suara yang bising sehingga berisiko mengakibatkan gangguan pendengaran khususnya bagi pengemudi.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh paparan kebisingan terhadap ambang dengar pengemudi speedboat di Kabupaten Barito Utara Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Penelitian ini bersifat observasional dengan desain Cross Sectional. Paparan bising dihitung berdasarkan intensitas atau tekanan suara yang diterima pengemudi selama bekerja dan dianalisis sebagai dosis paparan. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh pengemudi speedboat yang berjumlah 16 orang. Intensitas bising diukur menggunakan sound level meter sedangkan ambang pendengaran dianalisis menggunakan kuisioner.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan seluruh pengemudi terpapar bising melebihi nilai ambang batas dengan dosis antara 1,7 s.d. 4,28. Sebanyak 19% pengemudi mengalami kenaikan ambang dengar, namun hasil analisis tidak menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara paparan bising dengan kenaikan ambang dengar tersebut. Berdasarkan kecenderungan data, kenaikan ambang dengar disebabkan oleh faktor usia.
Disimpulkan bahwa kenaikan ambang dengar pengemudi diduga oleh faktor usia bukan akibat paparan bising dari mesin speedboat. Walaupun demikian upaya-upaya untuk pengendalian bising secara teknis, administratif, maupun alat pelindung pendengaran harus tetap dilaksanakan.

Speedboat is one of the river transportation facilities that are still widely used in North Barito Regency. Speedboats are the fastest means of water transportation that are able to reach areas that cannot be accessed by land transportation. The speedboat engine makes a noisy sound so there is a risk of causing hearing loss, especially for the driver.
This study aims to determine the effect of noise exposure on the hearing threshold of speedboat drivers in North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. This research is observational with cross sectional design. Noise exposure is calculated based on the intensity or sound pressure received by the driver during work and is analyzed as an exposure dose. The research subjects were all speedboat drivers, totaling 16 people. Noise intensity was measured using a sound level meter while the hearing threshold was analyzed using a questionnaire.
The results showed that all drivers were exposed to noise exceeding the threshold value with doses between 1.7 to 4.28. As many as 19% of drivers experienced an increase in the hearing threshold, but the results of the analysis did not show a relationship between noise exposure and the increase in the hearing threshold. Based on the trend of the data, the increase in hearing threshold is caused by the age factor.
It was concluded that the increase in the driver's hearing threshold was thought to be due to the age factor, not due to exposure to noise from the speedboat engine. However, efforts to control noise technically, administratively, and hearing protection equipment must still be implemented.
