Kolam renang sebagai salah satu tempat-tempat umum berpotensi menjadi tempat terjadinya penularan penyakit, pencemaran lingkungan ataupun gangguan kesehatan khususnya apabila tidak terjaminnya kualitas air. Penyakit yang timbul akibat kualitas air kolam renang yang tidak baik antara lain infeksi hidung dan tenggorokan, batuk, pilek, iritasi mata, masalah pernafasan, infeksi kulit, dan infeksi saluran pencernaan seperti diare. Kolam renang Neltha merupakan kolam renang satu-satunya yang ada di Kuala Kapuas yang dalam proses pengolahan air menggunakan kaporit dengan takaran tidak menentu yang memunggkinkan menimbulkan gangguan kesehatan serta belum pernah melakukan pengawasan kualitas air. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kualitas air kolam renang Neltha Kuala Kapuas Kalimantan Tengah yang ditinjau dari persyaratan fisik, kimia dan mikrobiologi tahun 2017 dan memberikan alternatif pemecahan masalah.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Data diperoleh dengan cara observasi, wawancara, pemeriksaan lapangan dan pemeriksaan sampel air di laboratorium. Jumlah sampel yang diambil sebanyak 52 sampel. Teknik analisa data dengan membandingkan hasil pemeriksaan dengan Permenkes No. 416/Menkes/Per/IX/1990.
Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan dari 8 sampel air yang diperiksa 100% memenuhi syarat untuk parameter bau dan benda terapung, sedangkan yang tidak memenuhi syarat untuk parameter kejernihan 25% dan MPN coliform 75%. Dari 22 sampel air yang diperiksa 100 % memenuhi syarat untuk parameter pH sedangkan yang tidak memenuhi syarat untuk parameter sisa chlor 81,81%.
Disarankan untuk menyempurnakan proses pengolahan air kolam renang dan selalu melakukan pengecekan kualitas air kolam renang sesuai ketentuan serta menyediakan bak cuci kaki yang digunakan sebelum berenang serta membuat pengumuman kepada pengunjung kolam renang agar menjaga kebersihan personal sebelum berenang.

THE WATER QUALITY OF NELTHA SWIMMING POOL IN KUALA KAPUAS CENTRAL BORNEO YEAR 2017

Swimming pool as one of public places can potentially become a place which diseases can be transmitted, environmental pollution can be occurred, or health problem can be happened especially if the quality of water can not be guaranteed. The diseases that can be occurred due to the poor quality of the swimming pool water are nasal and throat infection, cough, flu, eyes irritation, respiratory problems, skin infection, and gastrointestinal infection such as diarrhea. Neltha swimming pool is the only swimming pole located in Kuala Kapuas which in its process of water managing is using kaporit with uncertain dosage that probably can cause health problems. Moreover, this swimming pool has never conducted the water quality checking. This research aims to find out the water quality of Neltha swimming pool in Kuala Kapus Central Borneo that is reviewed from the physics, chemistry, and microbiology requirements in 2017 and give alternative problem solving.
The type of this study is descriptive study. The data collection process was carried out through observation, interview, field inspection and water sample checking in laboratory. There were totally 52 samples which had been taken. The data analysis technique was conducted by comparing the results of checking with Permenkes No.416/Menkes/Per/IX/1990.
The research result showed that from 8 water samples checked, it was 100% qualified to the requirements for smell and floating things parameter; however, there were 25% which did not meet the requirement for purity parameter and 75 % in MPN coliform. From 22 water sample which was checked, there were 100% qualified or met with the requirement for pH parameter while 81,81% did not meet the requirement for chlor remains parameter.
It is suggested to fix the swimming pool water management process and to check the water quality of the swimming pool according to the rules or conditions and also always to provide foot washtub which can be used before swimming and also to announce the swimming pool visitors to keep their personal cleanliness before swimming.
