Based on a report from the Hulu Sungai Tengah District Health Office showing scabies continues to exist, this is a problem that must be addressed, and the work area of Pagat Public Health Center, which is one of the sub-districts in Hulu Sungai Tengah, has the highest increase. relationship between personal hygiene of the community 1) bathing habits; 2) the habit of using soap together; 3) changing clothes; and 4) the habit of using towels simultaneously with the occurrence of scabies in the Pagat Community Health Center work area.
This type of research uses a restropective approach (case control study), which compares the behavior between sick groups and healthy groups that are related to the incidence of scabies. The population of this study sample amounted to 30 people. Data analysis using x2 (Chi square) test.
The results of this study showed a correlation between bathing habits and the incidence of scabies P-value = 0.026 <α = 0.05, there was a correlation between the use of soap and the incidence of scabies P-value = 0.024 <α = 0.05, there was no relationship between the habit of changing clothes with the incidence of scabies P-value = 1,000 <α = 0.05 there was no association using a towel with the incidence of scabies P-value = 0.300 <α = 0.05. Suggestions given such as Providing health counseling about living and healthy patterns with good and correct bathing material, Replacing bar soap to liquid soap or anti-septic soap.

Berdasarkan dari laporan Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah menunjukan penyakit skabies terus menerus ada, dan ini merupakan masalah yang harus ditanggulangi, dan wilayah kerja Puskesmas Pagat yang merupakan salah satu kecamatan yang ada di Hulu Sungai Tengah mengalami peningkatan tertinggi, Tujuan pada penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan personal hygiene masyarakat 1) kebiasaan mandi; 2) kebiasaan menggunakan sabun bersamaan; 3) kebiasaan ganti pakaian; dan 4) kebiasaan menggunakan handuk secara bersamaan dengan kejadian scabies di wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Pagat.
Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan restropektif (case control study), yaitu membandingkan perilaku antara kelompok sakit dengan kelompok sehat yang berhubungan dengan kejadian skabies. Populasi sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 30 orang. Analisis data menggunakan uji x2 (Chi square).
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan ada hubungan kebiasaan mandi dengan kejadian skabies P-value=0,026 < α =0,05, ada hubungan penggunaan sabun dengan kejadian skabies P-value=0,024 < α =0,05, tidak ada hubungan antara kebiasaan mengganti pakaian dengan kejadian scabies P-value=1,000 < α =0,05 tidak ada hubungan menggunakan handuk dengan kejadian skabies P-value=0,300 < α =0,05. Saran yang diberikan seperti Memberikan penyuluhan kesehatan tetang pola hidup dan sehat dengan materi cara mandi yang baik dan benar, Mengganti sabun batang ke sabun cair atau sabun anti septik.
