Batu Mandi District ranks 1st in terms of TB cases, namely 42 cases from 8 sub-
districts in Balangan Regency. The aim of the research is to analyze the relationship
between lighting levels, temperature and humidity in houses of TB sufferers with the
incidence of TB in the Batu Mandi District area in 2024.
This research method is an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach. The
population of the case group, namely TB sufferers in Batu Mandi District, is 42 people.
The control group population was 42 people. The number of control samples and case
samples in a 1:1 ratio in this study was 42 people. The control sampling technique uses
purposive sampling technique. The statistical test used was the Chi Square Test.
The results showed that there was a relationship between lighting levels and the
incidence of TB (p-value = 0.008) OR = 3.676). There is a relationship between
temperature and the incidence of TB (p-value = 0.029 OR=6.250). There is a relationship
between humidity and the incidence of TB (p-value = 0.016 OR=3.281). There is a
relationship between house density and the incidence of TB (p-value = 0.002 OR=4.500)
The results showed that there was a relationship between exposure level and TB incidence
(p-value = 0.008) with OR value = 3.676. There was a relationship between temperature
and the incidence of TB (p-value = 0.029) with an OR=6.250 value. There was a
relationship between humidity and the incidence of TB (p-value = 0.016) with an OR value
= 3.281. There was a relationship between the density of house occupants and the
incidence of TB (p-value = 0.002) with an OR value = 4.500.
For health workers, the environmental health program is to optimize education
regarding healthy homes and meet the requirements of the community with various
attractive tools.
