DETERMINANTS OF STUNTING INCIDENTS IN PALUKAHAN VILLAGE, LAKE PANGGANG INPATITION HEALTH CENTER WORKING AREA, 2023

Introduction : Stunting is one of the nutritional problems experienced by toddlers in the world today. Objective: to determine the relationship between the history of KEK, anemia and LBW on the incidence of stunting in Palukahan Village, the working area of the Danau Panggang Inpatient Health Center.
Method : The research used analytical observational with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was 115 people, sampling was taken using a total sampling technique. The independent variables in this study were history of CED pregnancy, anemia, and LBW. The dependent variable in this study is the incidence of stunting. Data collection uses documentation study. Data were analyzed using the chi square test with a significant value if the p value was ≤ 0.05.
Results : The research results showed that there was a significant relationship between a history of LBW births and the incidence of stunting with a p-value = 0.070, and there was no relationship between a history of CED during pregnancy and anemia during pregnancy with the incidence of stunting, with a p-value > 0.05..
Conclusion : The prevalence of stunting based on the data obtained shows that toddlers aged 1 - 5 years are 32.2%. There is no significant relationship between a history of CED pregnancy and anemia and the incidence of stunting, but there is a significant relationship between a history of LBW births and the incidence of stunting.
