Kesehatan gigi dan mulut sering kali menjadi masalah yang tidak terlalu
diperhatikan bagi sebagian orang. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan dengan cara
memberikan penyuluhan. Salah satu media edukasi yang mudah dan
menyenangkan seperti permainan, contohnya permainan karambol. Dari hasil studi
pendahuluan yang dilakukan pada 10 anak di SDN 3 Guntung Manggis sebanyak 8
anak pengetahuan kurang dan 2 anak pengetahuan baik sehingga masih kurangnya
pengetahuan tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyuluhan dengan
media permainan karambol terhadap pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada
anak kelas V di SDN 3 Guntung Manggis Kota Banjarbaru. Jenis penelitian ini
eksperimen semu (quasi exsperiment). Rancangan pada penelitian ini
menggunakan “One grub pre-test post-test design”. Sampel pada penelitian ini
berjumlah 53 orang, dengan uji statistik Paired Sample T-test.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan rata-rata pengetahuan sebelum diberikan
penyuluhan dengan media permainan karambol yaitu sebesar 51,77 dan rata-rata
pengetahuan sesudah penyuluhan yaitu sebesar 78,13. Berdasarkan hasil uji Paired
Sampel T-Test menunjukkan ρ = 0,000 < α = 0,05 atau nilai ρ (value) lebih kecil
dari nilai α, maka Ho ditolak Ha diterima.
Kesimpulan ada pengaruh penyuluhan dengan media permainan karambol
terhadap pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada anak kelas V di SDN 3
Guntung Manggis. Saran, diharapkan adanya media permainan karambol ini dapat
dijadikan bahan strategi dalam belajar yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan
pengetahuan, peningkatan pengetahuan tersebut didapat dari motivasi dan
kerjasama yang dilakukan anak dalam bermain sambil belajar.

Dental and oral health is often a problem that some people don't pay much
attention to. Efforts that can be made are by providing counseling. One of the
educational media that is easy and fun is like games, for example the carom game.
From the results of a preliminary study conducted on 10 children at SDN 3 Guntung
Manggis, 8 children had poor knowledge and 2 children had good knowledge, so
there is still a lack of knowledge about dental and oral health.
This study aims to determine the effect of counseling using the carom game
on dental and oral health knowledge in class V children at SDN 3 Guntung
Manggis, Banjarbaru City. This type of research is quasi-experiment. The design of
this research uses "One group pre-test post-test design". The sample in this study
amounted to 53 people, with the Paired Sample T-test statistical test.
The results of this study show that the average knowledge before being
given counseling using the carrom game media was 51,77 and the average
knowledge after being given counseling using the carom game media was 78,13.
Based on the results of the Paired Sample T-Test, it shows ρ = 0.000 < α = 0.05 or
the value of ρ (value) is smaller than the value of α, then Ho is rejected and Ha is
accepted.
The conclusion is that there is an influence of counseling using the carom
game on the level of dental and oral health knowledge in class V children at SDN
3 Guntung Manggis. Suggestion, It is hoped that the media of this carrom game can
be used as strategic material in learning which can be used to increase knowledge.
This increase in knowledge can be obtained from the motivation and cooperation
carried out by children in playing while learning.
