Kasus diare di Pondok Pesantren Darul Hijrah Putra meningkat setiap tahunnya. Kebiasaan mengkonsumsi makanan jajanan dan personal hygiene santri yang kurang baik berisiko terjadinya diare pada santri. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan konsumsi makanan jajanan dan personal hygiene santri dengan kejadian diare di Pondok Pesantren Darul Hijrah Putra 1.
Jenis penelitian obervasional dengan rancangan penelitian case control. Besar sampel kasus 55 dan kontrol 55. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, analisa data menggunakan uji Somers’d, dan uji odd’s ratio.
Kebiasaan makanan jajanan sebagian besar (35,5%) baik dan personal hygiene sebagian besar (35,5%) cukup. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan ada hubungan konsumsi makanan jajanan dan personal hygiene dengan kejadian diare. Hasil analisis Odd’s ratio menunjukkan konsumsi makanan jajanan dengan ketegori kurang berisiko terkena diare 4 kali lebih besar daripada santri yang konsumsi makan jajanannya baik dan personal hygiene dengan ketegori kurang berisiko terkena diare 3 kali lebih besar daripada santri yang personal hygiene baik.
Santri diharapkan untuk menerapkan pola hidup bersih dan sehat menjauhi makanan yang kebersihannya diragukan agar terhindar dari penyakit diare. Pengelola kantin pesantren diharapkan melengkapi fasilitas CTPS di kantin agar dapat digunakan santri untuk mencuci tangan. Dinkes dan Puskesmas dapat bekerjasama dengan pengelola pesantren untuk melakukan IKL di kantin pesantren.

Diarrhea cases at Darul Hijrah Putra Islamic Boarding School increase every year. Habits of consuming snacks and poor personal hygiene of students are at risk of diarrhea in students. This study aims to determine the relationship between consumption of snacks and personal hygiene of students with the incidence of diarrhea at the Darul Hijrah Putra 1 Islamic Boarding School.
Observational type of research with case control research design. The sample size was 55 cases and 55 controls. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, data analysis using Somers'd test, and odd's ratio test.
Most of the snack food habits (35.5%) are good and most of the personal hygiene (35.5%) is sufficient. The results of statistical tests showed that there was a relationship between the consumption of snacks and personal hygiene with the incidence of diarrhea. The results of Odd's ratio analysis showed that consumption of snacks with a poor category was at risk of diarrhea 4 times greater than students whose consumption of snacks was good and personal hygiene with a poor category was at risk of diarrhea 3 times greater than students with good personal hygiene.
Santri are expected to implement a clean and healthy lifestyle away from food whose cleanliness is doubtful in order to avoid diarrhea. The pesantren canteen manager is expected to complete the HWWS facilities in the canteen so that students can use them to wash their hands. The Health Office and Puskesmas can collaborate with the pesantren management to conduct an IKL in the pesantren canteen.
