Tuberkulosis paru merupakan penyakit yang dapat menular dari saluran pernafasan yang menyerang bagian paru disebabkan oleh Mycobacterium Tuberculosis ditularkan melalui udara (droplet nuclei) pada saat batuk maupun bersin, tuberkulosis paru menyebabkan gangguan pada bersihan jalan nafas yang mengakibatkan menumpuknya sputum.
Studi kasus ini menggunakan metode deskriptif yang menggunakan standar prosedur tindakan latihan batuk efektif. Subjek yang digunakan adalah 2 pasien dengan diagnosa tuberkulosis paru dengan masalah bersihan jalan nafas yang merupakan pasien di RSUD Ratu Zalecha Martapura yang dilakukan selama 2 kali sehari pada pagi dan sore hari dalam 3 hari.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada peningkatan bersihan jalan nafas pada kedua subjek setelah dilakukan tindakan latihan batuk efektif. Pada subjek 1 pengeluaran sputum sebelum dilakukan tindakan latihan batuk efektif adalah tidak bisa melakukan pengeluaran sputum secara maksimal, setelah dilakukan tindakan latihan batuk efektif didapatkan hasil pengeluaran sputum meningkat yaitu dengan jumlah ± 3,8 cc selama 3 hari. Peningkatan bersihan jalan nafas juga terjadi pada subjek 2 sebelum dilakukan tindakan latihan batuk efektif adalah kesulitan mengeluarkan sputum setelah dilakukan tindakan latihan batuk efektif didapatkan hasil pengeluaran sputum secara maksimal yaitu dengan jumlah ± 5,3 cc selama 3 hari.
Pemberian latihan batuk efektif dapat membantu mengatasi masalah bersihan jalan nafas pada pasien tuberkulosis paru. Sehingga diharapkan teknik latihan batuk efektif ini dapat diaplikasikan pada asuhan keperawatan terutama untuk mengatasi masalah bersihan jalan nafas yang terjadi pada pasien.

Pulmonary tuberculosis is a disease that can be transmitted from the respiratory tract which attacks the lungs caused by Mycobacterium Tuberculosis which is transmitted through the air (droplet nuclei) when coughing or sneezing, pulmonary tuberculosis causes disturbances in the cleanliness of the airways which results in a buildup of sputum..
This case study uses a descriptive method that uses standard procedures for effective cough training. The subjects used were 2 patients diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis with airway clearance problems who were patients at the Ratu Zalecha Martapura Regional Hospital which was carried out twice a day in the morning and evening for 3 days.
The results of the study showed that there was an increase in airway clearance in both subjects after effective coughing exercises were carried out. In subject 1, the sputum expulsion before carrying out effective coughing exercises was unable to expel sputum maximally. After carrying out effective coughing exercises, the result was that the sputum expenditure increased, namely by a total of ± 3.8 cc for 3 days. An increase in airway clearance also occurred in subject 2 before effective coughing exercises were carried out, namely difficulty expelling sputum. After effective coughing exercises were carried out, the result was maximum sputum expulsion, namely ± 5.3 cc for 3 days.
Providing effective coughing exercises can help overcome airway clearance problems in pulmonary tuberculosis patients. So it is hoped that this effective cough training technique can be applied to nursing care, especially to overcome airway clearance problems that occur in patients.
