PENERAPAN AROMATERAPI LAVENDER PADA MASALAH NYERI
AKUT DI RUMAH SAKIT DAERAH IDAMAN KOTA BANJARBARU

Persalinan sectio caesarea merupakan persalinan buatan dengan membuat
sayatan pada dinding abdomen dan uterus yang bertujuan untuk melakukan
kelahiran seorang anak. Data WHO angka persalinan dengan metode sectio
caesarea cukup besar yaitu sekitar 5-15%. Salah satu masalah keperawatan yang
muncul setelah operasi sectio caesarea adalah nyeri akut. Untuk mengatasi masalah
tersebut salah satu terapi non farmakologis yang dapat dilakukan yaitu penerapan
aromaterapi lavendermbertujuan mengurangi ataupun mengalihkan nyeri pasca
operasi caesar.
Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus pada pasien post sectio caesarea yang
bersedia dilakukan dengan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan yang meliputi
pengkajian, diagnosa keperawatan, perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi.
Penerapan pemberian aromaterapi lavender dilakukan selama 3 hari dengan
frequensi penerapan 2x sehari dalam waktu 15-30 menit pada waktu siang dan sore.
Alat ukur intensitas nyeri menggunakan skala Numeric Rating Scale (NRS).
Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara kepada pasien, observasi,
dan dokumentasi.
Setelah dilakukan tindakan keperawatan dalam waktu 3 hari didapatkan
terjadi penurunan skala nyeri dari skala nyeri sedang ke skala nyeri ringan pada
kedua pasien
Aromaterapi lavender dapat dijadikan salah satu teknik non farmakologi
atau intervensi mandiri untuk menurunkan intensitas nyeri pada pasien post sectio
caesarea

Cesarean section delivery is an artificial birth by making an incision in the
abdominal wall and uterus with the aim of giving birth to a child. WHO data shows
that the birth rate using the caesarean section method is quite large, namely around
5-15%. One of the nursing problems that arises after caesarean section surgery is
acute pain. To overcome this problem, one non-pharmacological therapy that can
be carried out is the application of lavender aromatherapy aimed at reducing or
diverting pain after caesarean section.
This research is a case study of post-cesarean section patients who are
willing to use a nursing care approach which includes assessment, nursing
diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. The application of lavender
aromatherapy is carried out for 3 days with a frequency of application 2 times a day
within 15-30 minutes in the afternoon and evening. The instrument for measuring
pain intensity uses the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Data collection methods were
carried out by interviewing patients, observation and documentation.
After carrying out nursing actions within 3 days, it was found that there was
a decrease in the pain scale from moderate pain scale to mild pain scale in both
patients
Lavender aromatherapy can be used as a non-pharmacological technique or
independent intervention to reduce pain intensity in post caesarean section patients.
