Hubungan Kadar Vitamin D dengan Kadar Kolesterol Pada Pasien di
Laboratorium Prodia Banjarmasin

Laboratorium Prodia Banjarmasin selama bulan September 2023. Populasi
uji Pearson didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0.984, p-value ≥ 0.05.
bebas obat kolesterol.

the Prodia Banjarmasin Laboratory

One of the causes of hypercholesterolemia is a lack of vitamin D intake.
Hypercholesterolemia is also associated with a lack of vitamin D levels in the blood.
The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between vitamin D levels
and cholesterol levels. The type of research used in this research is an analytical
survey with a cross sectional design. The research was conducted on patients at the
Prodia Banjarmasin Laboratory during September 2023. The research population
was all Prodia Banjarmasin Laboratory patients who had their vitamin D levels and
cholesterol levels checked simultaneously, a total of 50 patients using the Total
Sampling technique. The results of the study were 18 patients (36%) who had
optimal vitamin D levels and 21 patients who had total cholesterol levels (42%) and
9 patients who had optimal vitamin D levels and normal total cholesterol levels
(18%) . The Pearson test results obtained a significance value of 0.984, p-value ≥
0.05, it was concluded that there was no relationship between Vitamin D levels and
total cholesterol levels in patients at the Prodia Banjarmasin Laboratory. Total
cholesterol levels are not only influenced by vitamin D levels, but also by other
influencing factors such as sun exposure, diet and intake patterns, habits, physical
activity and medication. Suggestions for future researchers are to carry out
experimental tests by controlling confounding factors, namely by administering
vitamin D supplements to patients suffering from hypercholesterolemia who are
free from cholesterol medication.
