kuesioner berupa tertusuk jarum/benda tajam, riwayat vaksin, penggunaan APD,
penularan hepatitis B sebanyak 17 orang (34%), faktor resiko sedang sebanyak 30

Hepatitis B virus infection is a chronic infection that often affects humans and is
one of the main causes of chronic liver disease, cirrhosis of the liver,
hepatocellular carcinoma. The risk of health workers contracting the hepatitis B
virus is 10 times that of the general population because they have a profession
prone to exposure. The aim of the study was to determine the incidence of
hepatitis B, to determine the risk factors that cause hepatitis B, and to determine
the relationship between risk factors and the incidence of hepatitis B in North
Banjarabaru Health Center health workers. The research design was analytic
observational with a cross-sectional approach. The population consists of 50
health workers (doctors, dentists, nutritionists, nurses, midwives, sanitarians,
analysts and pharmacists) with a total sampling. Data were analyzed using chi
square. From the study, the results showed that 1 person was positive for HBsAg
and 49 people were negative for hepatitis B. Risk factors (containing a
questionnaire in the form of needle sticks/sharp objects, history of vaccines, use of
PPE, use of shared tools) were categorized as low risk factors for transmission of
hepatitis B as many as 17 people (34%) , moderate risk factors as many as 30
people (60%) and high risk factors as many as 3 people (6%). There is no
significant relationship between these risk factors and the incidence of hepatitis B
in health workers at the North Banjarbaru Health Center. Suggestions to do
HBsAg examination in each profession and use a wider population
