Hubungan Kadar Kolesterol Total Darah Dan Tekanan Darah Pada

khususnya ibu hamil agar menjaga pola makan seperti menghindari

ABSTRACT
The Relationship between Total Blood Cholesterol Levels and Blood Pressure
in First Trimester Pregnant Women at the Beruntung Baru Health Center

Changes in high blood cholesterol levels in early pregnancy are associated with
the risk of developing a pregnancy into preeclampsia. Measurement of blood
cholesterol levels in early pregnancy (≤20 weeks) can be used as a form of effort
to predict a pregnancy will develop into preeclampsia. The purpose of this study
was to determine the relationship between blood cholesterol levels and blood
pressure in first trimester pregnant women at the Beruntung Baru Health Center.
This type of research uses analytic survey research with a cross sectional design.
The population in this study were all first trimester pregnant women who checked
themselves at the Beruntung Baru Health Center in August 2022 using a total
sampling technique. Capillary blood sampling method for cholesterol examination
using the POCT method. The results of the study showed that 33 pregnant women
in the 1st trimester found 10 pregnant women with normal cholesterol levels
(31%) and above the normal value were 23 people (69%), while the value of
hypertension in 1st trimester pregnant women who were normal was 16 people.
(49%) and above the normal value of 17 people (51%). Based on the Spearman
correlation test, systolic blood pressure (p = 0.546) and diastolic blood pressure (p
= 0.659) were obtained, which means that there is a significant relationship
between total blood cholesterol levels and blood pressure in first trimester
pregnant women at the Beruntung Baru Health Center. It is recommended for the
public, especially pregnant women, to maintain a diet such as avoiding foods that
can increase blood cholesterol levels and blood pressure. For future researchers,
other lipid profile studies such as triglycerides, HDL and LDL in pregnant women
can be carried out.
Keywords: cholesterol, blood pressure, pregnant women, 1st trimester
