Pasar di Kota Banjarbaru memiliki sistem pengolahan air limbah salah
satunya pada Pasar X. Air limbah pasar X bersumber dari kegiatan pedagang di
los pasar ikan atau los basah. Sehingga diperlukan pengelolaan kualitas air
limbah. Tujuan penelitiannya ini diketahuinya kualitas air limbah di Pasar X Kota
Banjarbaru ditinjau dari parameter pH dan BOD.
Jenis Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif, desain penelitian bersifat cross
sectional dengan metode pengambilan sampel dengan composite sampling.
Populasi yaitu semua limbah cair yang ada di Pasar X Banjarbaru analisa
deskriptif dan dibandingkan dengan persyaratan Peraturan Gubernur Kalimantan
Selatan Nomor 04 Tahun 2007 Tentang Baku Mutu Limbah Cair (BMLC) Bagi
Kegiatan Industri, Hotel, Restoran, Rumah Sakit, Domestik, dan Pertambangan.
Hasi penelitian menunjukkan sumber air limbah berasal dari los basah, debit air
limbah yang dihasilkan adalah 1,518 liter/detik. Berdasarkan Peraturan Gubernur
Kalimantan Selatan Nomor 04 Tahun 2007 telah memenuhi syarat rata-rata nilai
pH inlet 7 dan pH Outlet 7,3. BOD outlet hari-3 14,8 mg/L. Tidak memenuhi
syarat yaitu hasil pemeriksaan BOD inlet hari-1 25079, 35 mg/L, BOD inlet hari-2
15555,5 mg/L, BOD inlet hari-3 113,2 mg/L., BOD Outlet Hari-1 158,7 mg/L,
BOD outlet hari-2 111,1 mg/L. Efektivitas IPAL di Pasar X 95,2 % artinya
sangat efektif.
Pengolahan anaerob dan aerob pada IPAL tersebut sudah bagus diterapkan
akan tetapi perlu dilakukan penambahan bak pengendapan akhir secara paralel
dalam satu saluran yang sama sehingga disambungkan dengan pipa yang sama
tanpa harus merombak IPAL yang sudah.

The market in Banjarbaru City has a wastewater treatment system, one of
which is at Market X. The source of wastewater in market X comes from the
activities of traders in fish market stalls or wet stalls. So it is necessary to manage
the quality of wastewater. The purpose of this research was to know the quality of
wastewater in Market X, Banjarbaru City in terms of pH and BOD parameters.
This research was a descriptive study with a cross sectional design.The
method of taking samples with composite sampling. The population in this study
was all liquid waste in Pasar X Banjarbaru descriptive analysis and compared with
the requirements of South Kalimantan Governor Regulation Number 04 of 2007
concerning Liquid Waste Quality Standards (BMLC) for Industrial, Hotel,
Restaurant, Hospital, Domestic, and Mining Activities.
The results showed that the source of the waste water came from the wet los,
the resulting wastewater discharge was 1.518 liters/second. Based on South
Kalimantan Governor Regulation Number 04 of 2007 has fulfilled the
requirements for an average inlet pH value of 7 and an outlet pH of 7,3. Day-3
outlet BOD 14,8 mg/L. It does not meet the requirements, namely the results of
the BOD inlet day-1 25079,35 mg/L, BOD inlet day-2 15555,5 mg/L, BOD inlet
day-3 113,2 mg/L., Outlet BOD Day-1 158, 7 mg/L, day-2 outlet BOD 111,1
mg/L. The effectiveness of WWTP in Market X is 95,2%, which means it was
very effectived.
Anaerobic and aerobic treatment in the WWTP has been well implemented, but
it was necessary to add a final settling basin in the same channel so that it was
connected to the same pipe without having to remodel the WWTP already made.
