Hubungan Personal Hygiene Dengan Candida albicans Penyebab Keputihan
Pada Mahasiswi TLM Program Sarjana Terapan Poltekkes Kemenkes
Banjarmasin

Dalam kesehatan reproduksi ada beberapa hal yang sering terjadi pada
perempuan, salah satunya adalah keputihan yang dapat terjadi secara normal
maupun abnormal. Salah satu penyebab keputihan adalah jamur Candida albicans
yang merupakan flora normal tetapi jika terdapat faktor predisposisi dapat
menyebabkan infeksi, contohnya personal hygiene yang kurang baik. Penelitian
ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara personal hygiene dan Candida
albicans penyebab keputihan pada mahasiswi TLM Program Sarjana Terapan
Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin. Jenis Penelitian ini bersifat survey analitik
dengan rancangan Cross sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua
mahasiswi TLM program Sarjana Terapan sebanyak 79 mahasiswi. Sampel
berjumlah 36 mahasiswi dan diambil dengan teknik Purposive Sampling dengan
kriteria sedang tidak mengalami menstruasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
mahasiswi dengan personal hygiene kurang baik sebanyak 10 mahasiswi
(27,78%) dan baik sebanyak 26 mahasiswi (72,22%). Hasil pemeriksaan Candida
albicans positif sebanyak 13 mahasiswi (36,11%) dan negatif sebanyak 23
mahasiswi (63,89%). Hasil uji Fisher Exact didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 (p-value <
0,05) maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat hubungan antara personal hygiene dengan
Candida albicans penyebab keputihan pada mahasiswi TLM program Sarjana
Terapan Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin. Sehingga untuk menghindari
ternjadinya keputihan yang disebabkan oleh Candida albicans maka mahasiswi
perlu untuk meningkatkan personal hygiene pada daerah kewanitaan.

ABSTRACT
Personal Hygiene Relationship with Candida albicans Causes of Leucorrhoea
in TLM Students Program Sarjana Terapan at Poltekkes Kemenkes
Banjarmasin
In reproductive health, there are several things that often happen to
women, which is vaginal discharge that can occur normally or abnormally. One of
the causes of vaginal discharge is Candida albicans which is a normal flora but if
there are predisposing factors it can cause an infection, for example poor personal
hygiene. This study aims to determine the relationship between personal hygiene
and Candida albicans causes of vaginal discharge in students of TLM Program
Sarjana Terapan at the Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin. This type of research is
an analytic survey with a cross sectional design. The population of this study were
79 TLM students. The sample consisted of 36 female students and were taken
using purposive sampling technique with the criteria that they were not
experiencing menstruation. The results showed that there were 10 students with
poor personal hygiene (27.78%) and 26 students (72.22%) with good personal
hygiene. The results of Candida albicans examination were positive as many as 13
female students (36.11%) and negative as many as 23 female students (63.89%).
The Fisher Exact test results obtained p value = 0.000 (p-value <0.05), it can be
concluded that there is a relationship between personal hygiene and Candida
albicans, the cause of vaginal discharge in TLM students in the Applied Bachelor
program of Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin. So to avoid vaginal discharge
caused by Candida albicans, students need to improve personal hygiene in the
female area.
