HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP IBU BALITA DENGAN KEJADIAN BGM DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS MARTAPURA TIMUR KABUPATEN BANJAR TAHUN 2017

Under-five Mortality Rate according to the World Health Organization (WHO, 2011) estimates that 54% of childs mortality are due to poor nutrition. One of the nutritional problems of children under-five is Under the Red Line (URL), which is where the child's weight points are below the red line in the graphic of Kartu Menuju Sehat (KMS). Knowledge and demenaour of mother to child nutritional status is one of the factors causing malnutrition of under-five childs. The data from the Banjar District Health Office in 2015, East of Martapura Public Health is the second highest rate of URL cases and keep increasing from 12.5% in 2014 to 14.4% in 2015.
The purpose of this research is to discover the relation of the knowledge and demenour of Under-five’s mother with the incidence of URL in East Martapura Public Health Unit of Banjar Regency in 2017.
The research used is analytic survey method with Cross sectional approach. Sampling technique of each village is using Simple random sampling technique. The sample in this study is 98 persons. The independent variable i.e knowledge and demenour, dependent variable t is URL incident. The research instrument used questionnaire and the test is using statistic Chi Square test.
Based on the results of the study of 98 respondents with toddlers, 38 persons with URL (38.8%), 52 persons (53.1%) were well-knowledged and 59 people (60.2%) were well-demenoured. There is correlation between mother knowledge with URL incidence with value ρ = 0,000. There is a correlation between mother demenour with URL with value ρ = 0,000.
The conclusion of this research is there are correlation among knowledge and demenour of under-five’s mother with URL incident in work area of East Martapura Public Health in 2017.
