Air sumur bor yang berada di Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Banjarbaru secara fisik terlihat berwarna kekuningan dan berbau. Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan uji pendahuluan didapatkan hasil pemeriksaan pH 4,9 dan Fe 2,5 mg/L. Jika dibandingkan dengan baku mutu air bersih belum memenuhi persyaratan yaitu 1,0 mg/L dan pH 6,5-8,5. Perlu dilakukan penelitian pembuatan saringan cangkang telur bebek dalam memperbaiki kualitas pH dan Fe air sumur bor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui Efektivitas saringan cangkang telur bebek dalam memperbaiki kualitas pH dan Fe air sumur bor.
Jenis penelitian yaitu eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest with control group. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh air sumur bor di Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Banjarbaru. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu air sumur bor yang diambil sebagian untuk uji coba.
Analisis pengaruh ketebalan saringan menggunakan uji Anova di dapatkan asymp < œ (0.000 < 0.05) artinya ada perbedaan antara ketebalan saringan cangkang telur bebek 0 cm, 20 cm, 40 cm, 60 cm. Maka dilakukan Uji lanjutan Posh Hoc Tests dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang bermakna antara ketebalan saringan cangkang telur bebek 0 cm, 20 cm, 40 cm, 60 cm terhadap penurunan kadar besi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian saringan 40 cm adalah saringan yang efektif dalam menurunkan kadar besi air sumur bor.
Masyarakat disarankan menggunakan pengolahan air dengan saringan cangkang telur bebek dengan ketebalan saringan 40 cm, berat 291 gram. Perlu adanya kajian lebih lanjut untuk menurunkan kadar besi pada air dengan membandingkan variasi ketebalan yang berbeda.

Water well drill that is in the Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Banjarbaru Physically look yellowish and smelly. Based on preliminary test results obtained pH 4.9 and Fe 2.5 mg/L. When compared with the quality of clean water standards have not fulfilled the requirements of 1.0 mg/L and pH 6.5-8.5. It needs to be done research of duck egg filter manufacture in improving the quality of pH and Fe water well drill. The goal of this research is to know the effectiveness of duck egg filter in improving the quality of pH and Fe water wells drill. This type of research is experimentation with pretest-posttest with control group. The population of this research is all water wells in the Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Banjarbaru. This research sample is water well drill which is partially taken for trial.

Analysis of the influence thickness of the sieve using Anova test in Get Asymp < œ (0.000 < 0.05) means there is a difference between the filter thickness of duck egg shells 0 cm, 20 cm, 40 cm, 60 cm. Then the advanced test of Posh Hoc Tests can be concluded that there is a meaningful difference between the filter thickness of duck egg (0 cm), 20 60 40 cm Based on the results of the 40 cm sieve research is an effective sieve in lowering the iron level of water wells.
The community is advised to use water treatment by filtering duck egg shell with filter thickness of 40 cm, weight 291 grams. It is necessary to have further studies to lower iron levels in water by comparing different thickness variations.
