Pengaruh Toksisitas Limbah Cair Detergen Laundry Dihitung dari LC50 Benih Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus)

Limbah detergen mengandung surfaktan (bahan dasar) dan builders (fosfat) yang berbahaya bagi lingkungan. Cemaran limbah detergen di perairan bersifat toksik dan dapat mematikan ikan sehingga terganggunya ekosistem. Tingkat daya racun limbah detergen terhadap ikan dapat ditentukan dengan uji LC50. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai LC50 benih ikan nila  pada konsentrasi 9 x 103  ppm, 17x 103  ppm, 30x 103  ppm, 55x 103  ppm, dan 100x 103 ppm dengan waktu pendedahan 96 jam serta mengetahui tingkat daya racun limbah cair detergen laundry berdasarkan nilai LC50. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen dengan rancangan Posstest-Only Control Design dan sampel biota uji berupa benih ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Hasil dari uji statistik menggunakan analisa probit didapat nilai estimasi antara  29016,606 sampai 82893,958 dan nilai LC50 sebesar 68,205 x 103 ppm. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai LC50 benih ikan nila sebesar 68,205 x 103 ppmdan tingkat daya racun limbah cair detergen laundry berdasarkan nilai LC50 96 jam adalah ringan karena nilai LC50 96 jam lebih dari 100 ppm.Kepada peneliti selanjutnya disarankan dapat menggunakan sampel dari detergen baik bubuk maupun cair dengan variasi surfaktan dan builder tertentu agar mengetahui konsentrasi yang tepat dan tingkat racun dari masing-masing zat tersebut.

Toxicity Effect of Laundry Detergent Liquid Waste Calculated from LC50Tilapia Seeds (Oreochromis niloticus)

 Waste detergent contains surfactants (basic materials) and builders (phosphates) that are harmful to the environment. The contamination of waste detergent in the waters is toxic and might kill fish so that the ecosystem beingdisturbed. Toxicity level of waste detergent to fish can be determined by LC50 test. This study aims to determine the LC50 value of tilapia seeds at concentrations ; 9.103, 17.103, 30.103, 55.103, and 100.103 ppm in 96 hours exposure and to know the toxicity level of laundry detergent waste byLC50 value. This research was PosstestOnly Control Experimental Design and using Tilapia seed (Oreochromis niloticus) as samples. Result of the research was analysedby Probit Analysis. The estimated concentration between 2,90.104 until 8,29.104 ppm. Conclusion wasLC50of detergen laundry waste 6,82.104ppm and it was in low degree of toxicity level because the concentration more than 100 ppm. For the next researchers, it is advisable to use samples of both powder and liquid detergents with certain surfactant and builder variations to know the exact concentration and toxicity level of each substances.
