ABSTRAK Pengaruh Penambahan Rambut Sapi pada Media Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) terhadap Percepatan Waktu Pertumbuhan Trichophyton rubrum Peneliti: Dina Yulianti Pembimbing: Ratih Dewi Dwiyanti, Tini Elyn Herlina Jamur Trichophyton rubrum memerlukan keratin sebagai salah satu nutrisi pertumbuhan. Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) adalah media yang digunakan untuk pertumbuhan Trichophyton rubrum yang dapat ditambahkan keratin seperti keratin rambut sapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan rambut sapi pada media SDA terhadap percepatan waktu pertumbuhan Trichophyton rubrum. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experiment dengan rancangan post test only non-equivalent control group design yaitu pengamatan percepatan waktu pertumbuhan berdasarkan terbentuknya makrokonidia secara mikroskopis, pengukuran diameter dan pengamatan tekstur serta warna koloni dari jamur Trichophyton rubrum secara makroskopis pada media SDA dengan penambahan rambut sapi 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg, 25 mg dan 30 mg yang diinkubasi selama 14 hari pada suhu 280C di dalam inkubator. Hasil pengamatan waktu pertumbuhan yaitu pada media SDA kontrol adalah 8 hari sedangkan pada media SDA dengan penambahan massa rambut sapi sebanyak 10 mg adalah 7 hari; massa 15 mg adalah 5 hari; massa 20 mg adalah 3,5 hari; massa 25 mg adalah 3 hari; massa 30 mg adalah waktu 2,5 hari. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah adanya pengaruh penambahan rambut sapi pada media Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) terhadap percepatan waktu pertumbuhan Trichophyton rubrum berdasarkan hasil uji statistik Kruskal Wallis dimana nilai p lebih kecil dari α ( 0,001 ≤ 0,05). Penelitian ini dapat dilanjutkan dengan menggunakan jenis jamur dermatofita yang berbeda atau jenis keratin yang berbeda seperti rambut manusia, bulu unggas dan lain-lain. This research is a quasi-experimental study with post-test only non-equivalent control group design, namely observation of acceleration of growth based on the formation of macroconidia microscopically, diameter measurement and observation of texture and color of colony from Trichophyton rubrum mushroom macroscopically on SDA media with the addition of cow hair 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg, 25 mg and 30 mg which were incubated for 14 days at 280C in the incubator. The results of the observation of growth time in the control SDA media is 8 days while the SDA media with the addition of 10 mg of cow hair mass is 7 days; 15 mg mass is 5 days; 20 mg mass is 3,5 days; 25 mg mass is 3 days; 30 mg mass is 2,5 days. The conclusion of this research is the acceleration of the growth time of Trichophyton rubrum is influenced by the addition of cow hair on Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) media based on Kruskal Wallis statistical test results with a p value smaller than α (0,001 ≤ 0,005) This research can be continued by using different types of dermatophytes or different types of keratin such as human hair, bird feathers and others.
