KEMENTERIAN KESEHATAN REPUBLIK INDONESIA POLITEKNIK KESEHATAN BANJARMASIN PROGRAM STUDI KEPERAWATAN PROGRAM DIPLOMA III TAHUN 2025 ABSTRAK Karya Tulis Ilmiah (GRISELDA FAUZIA) PENERAPAN KANGAROO MOTHER CARE (KMC) DALAM ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA BBLR DI RUANG PERINATOLOGI RSUD RATU ZALECHA MARTAPURA (Evy Marlinda dan Agustine Ramie) xvi + 60 halaman ; 12 tabel ; 1 gambar + 13 lampiran Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah (BBLR) merupakan salah satu faktor risiko utama kematian neonatal, yang seringkali disertai komplikasi hipotermia akibat ketidakmampuan mempertahankan suhu tubuh secara optimal. Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) adalah metode perawatan dengan melakukan kontak langsung kulit antara ibu dan bayi, yang terbukti mampu menjaga kestabilan suhu tubuh bayi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi pelaksanaan asuhan keperawatan menggunakan metode KMC terhadap bayi BBLR guna meningkatkan suhu tubuh mereka di ruang perinatologi RSUD Ratu Zalecha Martapura. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus deskriptif dengan pendekatan proses keperawatan, meliputi pengkajian, diagnosa, perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah dua bayi dengan kriteria BBLR dan hipotermia. Intervensi KMC dilakukan selama tiga hari, satu kali sehari dengan durasi 60 menit. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penerapan KMC memberikan peningkatan suhu tubuh dari kondisi hipotermia ke suhu tubuh normal, serta meningkatkan stabilitas fisiologis dan aktivitas bayi. Kesimpulan dari studi ini adalah bahwa metode KMC efektif dalam meningkatkan suhu tubuh bayi BBLR, serta dapat menjadi salah satu pendekatan keperawatan yang holistik, murah, dan berbasis bukti. Penerapan KMC juga memperkuat ikatan emosional antara ibu dan bayi serta mendukung keterlibatan keluarga dalam proses perawatan neonatal. Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) is a treatment method by making direct skin contact between mother and baby, which has been proven to be able to maintain the stability of the baby's body temperature. The purpose of this study is to explore the implementation of nursing care using the KMC method for BBLR babies to increase their body temperature in the perinatology room of Ratu Zalecha Martapura Hospital. The method used is a descriptive case study with a nursing process approach, including study, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were two infants with BBLR and hypothermia criteria. KMC's intervention was carried out for three days, once a day with a duration of 60 minutes. The results showed that the application of KMC provided an increase in body temperature from hypothermia to normal body temperature, as well as improved physiological stability and activity of the baby. The conclusion of this study is that the KMC method is effective in increasing the body temperature of BBLR babies, and can be one of the holistic, inexpensive, and evidence-based nursing approaches. The implementation of KMC also strengthens the emotional bond between mother and baby and supports family involvement in the neonatal care process.
