Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan dan mengidentifikasi keefektifan deep breathing exercise teknik 4-7-8 dalam menurunkan nyeri akut post sectio caesarea di RSUD Ratu Zalecha Martapura. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus deskriptif dengan dua subjek ibu post SC yang mengalami nyeri pascaoperasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengkajian, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, pemeriksaan fisik, dan lembar observasi nyeri. Intervensi deep breathing exercise teknik 4-7-8 dilakukan selama tiga hari tanpa batasan jumlah pengulangan, dengan durasi sekitar lima menit atau sampai pasien merasa rileks. Hasil studi menunjukkan penurunan skala nyeri pada kedua pasien setelah dilakukan intervensi. Pasien 1 mengalami penurunan dari skala nyeri 6 menjadi 3 (nyeri ringan), dan pasien 2 dari skala nyeri 5 menjadi 2 (nyeri ringan). Kesimpulan dari studi kasus ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik pernapasan dalam 4-7-8 efektif dalam menurunkan nyeri post SC. Disarankan agar teknik ini dapat dijadikan alternatif nonfarmakologis dalam praktik keperawatan rawat inap di RSUD Ratu Zalecha Martapura. This study aims to implement and identify the effectiveness of deep breathing exercise technique 4-7-8 in reducing acute pain post-section caesarea at RSUD Ratu Zalecha Martapura. This study used a descriptive case study method with two post-CS mothers who experienced postoperative pain. Data were collected through assessment, interviews, documentation studies, physical examinations, and pain observation sheets. The deep breathing exercise intervention technique 4-7-8 was carried out for three days without any limitation on the number of repetitions, with a duration of about five minutes or until the patient felt relaxed. The results of the study showed a decrease in pain scale in both patients after the intervention. Patient 1 experienced a decrease from a pain scale of 6 to 3 (mild pain), and patient 2 from a pain scale of 5 to 2 (mild pain). The conclusion of this case study shows that the 4-7-8 deep breathing technique is effective in reducing post-CS pain. It is suggested that this technique can be used as a non-pharmacological alternative in inpatient nursing practice at RSUD Ratu Zalecha Martapura.
