Isnaniah, S.ST., M.Pd; Megawati, S.Si, T M. Keb Background: The number of abortion incidents from 2020 to 2023 has increased. In 2020 the incidence of abortion was 217 (17%) of 1,256 pregnant women, in 2021 the incidence of abortion was 220 (17.2%) of 1,276 pregnant women, in 2022 the incidence of abortion was 245 (19.4%) of 1,260 mothers pregnant and the incidence of abortion in 2023 was recorded at 257 (19.9%) of 1,290 pregnant women.Objective: to determine the relationship between maternal age and parity with the incidence of abortion in RSUD. Pambalah Batung Amuntai Method: : This research uses a Case Control approach. The population of this study was all pregnant women in RSUD. Pambalah Batung Amuntai from January – December 2023, totaling 1,290 pregnant women. The independent variables in this study were maternal age and parity. The dependent variable in this research is abortion. Data collection was taken from the VK Maternity Room Register Book and the RSUD Medical Record Book. Pambalah Batung data was analyzed using the Chi Square test with a significance of α=0.05. Results : 50% of mothers who experienced an abortion, the age of pregnant women at risk of having an abortion was 52%, the parity of pregnant women who were at risk of having an abortion was 51%, there was a relationship between maternal age and the incidence of abortion (P = 0.000: OR= 7.345) Parity (P = 0.000: OR = 6.619) Conclusion: There is a strong relationship between maternal age and parity and the incidence of abortion in RSUD. Pambalah Batung Amuntai, therefore it is hoped that all health workers or midwives can further improve screening and detection of pregnant women to prevent abortions.
