ABSTRAK IDENTIFIKASI Candida albicans PADA SWAB ORAL LANSIA DI PANTI PERLINDUNGAN DAN REHABILITASI SOSIAL LANJUT USIA BUDI SEJAHTERA LANDASAN ULIN BANJARBARU TAHUN 2024 Peneliti : Luthfia Juniar Pembimbing : Ratih Dewi Dwiyanti, Nurlailah Candida albicans merupakan golongan ragi atau flora normal yang keberadaannya paling banyak pada kulit, membran mukosa, rongga mulut, saluran pernapasan, saluran pencernaan, dan alat genital yang dapat menjadi patogen ketika imunitas tubuh menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keberadaan jamur Candida albicans pada oral lansia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan rancangan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh lansia dengan jumlah 108 yang diambil dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling berjumlah 31 responden kategori lansia semi mandiri. Spesimen yang digunakan adalah swab oral. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pemeriksaan mikroskopis pewarnaan gram, kultur pada media SDA, uji biokimia dan germ tube. Analisis data ditampilkan dalam tabel dan secara deskriptif dalam bentuk persentase. Hasil penelitian dari 31 sampel menunjukkan 7 (22,59%) sampel positif Candida albicans. Disimpulkan terdapat jamur Candida albicans pada swab oral lansia dengan persentase positif 7 orang (22,59%), diketahui tingkat pengetahuan lansia tinggi sebanyak 13 orang (41,93%) dan tingkat rendah sebanyak 18 orang (58,07%), dan diketahui faktor predisposisi yang baik sebanyak 22 orang (70,97%) dan yang kurang baik sebanyak 9 orang (29,03%). Disarankan peneliti selanjutnya dalam mengembangkan penelitian dapat memperhatikan faktor-faktor lain yang mempengaruhi keberadaan jamur Candida albicans pada oral lansia seperti kebiasaan merokok, dan sebagainya. This study aims to identify the presence of Candida albicans fungus in the oral of the elderly. This study uses a descriptive method with a cross sectional design. The population in this study is all elderly with a total of 108 taken by purposive sampling technique totaling 31 respondents in the semi-independent elderly category. The specimen used is an oral swab. This study uses microscopic examination methods of gram staining, culture on natural resources media, biochemical tests and germ tubes. The data analysis is displayed in a table and descriptively in the form of percentages. The results of the study from 31 samples showed that 7 (22.59%) samples were positive for Candida albicans. It was concluded that there was a Candida albicans fungus in the oral swab of the elderly with a positive percentage of 7 people (22.59%), it was known that the level of knowledge of the elderly was high as 13 people (41.93%) and the level was low as 18 people (58.07%), and it was known that there were good predisposing factors as many as 22 people (70.97%) and poor predisposition factors as many as 9 people (29.03%). It is suggested that further researchers in developing research can pay attention to other factors that affect the presence of Candida albicans fungus in the oral of the elderly such as smoking habits, and so on.
