KEMENTERIAN KESEHATAN REPUBLIK INDONESIA POLITEKNIK KESEHATAN BANJARMASIN PROGRAM STUDI KEPERAWATAN PROGRAM DIPLOMA TIGA TAHUN 2024 ABSTRAK Karya Tulis Ilmiah TIYANI PUTRI PENERAPAN TERAPI KOMPRES JAHE MERAH HANGAT PADA PASIEN LANSIA GOUT ARTHRITIS DI PANTI PERLINDUNGAN DAN REHABILITASI SOSIAL LANJUT USIA (PPRSLU) BUDI SEJAHTERA PROVINSI KALIMANTAN SELATAN (Andi Parellangi & Ria Roswita) xxi + 104 halaman ; 17 tabel ; 4 gambar + 14 lampiran Gout Arthritis adalah gangguan nyeri pada sendi yang disebabkan karena tingginya kadar asam urat di dalam darah melebihi normal (menurut World Health Organization (WHO) kadar normal penyakit asam urat ini adalah 3,5 – 7 mg/dl untuk pria dan 2,6 – 6 mg/dl untuk wanita) sehingga menyebabkan penumpukan asam urat di dalam persendian dan organ tubuh lainnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus yang meliputi pengkajian, diagnosa, perencanaan, pelaksanaan implementasi dan evaluasi. Tujuannya untuk mengeksplorasi Penerapan Terapi Kompres Jahe Merah Hangat pada Pasien Lansia Gout Arthritis dengan keluhan nyeri di Panti Perlindungan dan Rehabilitasi Sosial Lanjut Usia (PPRSLU) Budi Sejahtera Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan selama 8 hari dari bulan Mei 2024. Pengkajian data menggunakan format pengkajian gerontik. Dari hasil pengkajian ke dua pasien didapatkan 1 diagnosa keperawatan yang sama yaitu nyeri kronis berhubungan dengan gangguan fungsi metabolik (asam urat). Setelah dirumuskan intervensi sesuai dan dilakukan implementasi maka didapatkan evaluasi serta dilakukan dokumentasi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan terapi kompres jahe merah hangat ini efektif menurunkan skala nyeri sendi pada pasien lansia gout arthritis. Diharapkan pengasuh panti dan pasien dapat menerapkan terapi kompres jahe merah hangat ini saat merasa nyeri. This research uses a case study method which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. The aim was to explore the application of Warm Red Ginger Compress Therapy to Elderly Gouty Arthritis Patients with complaints of pain at the Budi Sejahtera Social Protection and Rehabilitation Home for the Elderly (PPRSLU) South Kalimantan Province for 8 days from May 2024. The data was assessed using a gerontic assessment format. From the results of the assessment of the two patients, one nursing diagnosis was the same, namely chronic pain related to impaired metabolic function (gout). After an appropriate intervention is formulated and implemented, an evaluation is obtained and documentation is carried out. It can be concluded that the application of warm red ginger compress therapy is effective in reducing the scale of joint pain in elderly gouty arthritis patients. It is hoped that nursing home caregivers and patients can apply this warm red ginger compress therapy when they feel pain.
