BHATT TERHADAP PERUBAHAN POLA NAPAS PADA PASIEN PNEUMONIA (Suroto, Mahdalena) xix + 93 halaman ; 13 tabel ; 1 gambar + 14 lampiran Pneumonia merupakan penyakit yang menginfeksi saluran pernapasan bawah, ditandai dengan batuk berdahak, demam mengigil, dan sesak yang mengakibatkan adanya perubahan pola napas pada penderita yang ditandai dengan respiratory rate (RR) melebihi batas normal. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut salah satu terapi non farmakologis yang dapat dilakukan yaitu teknik pursed lip breathing (PLB) versi Surya P. Bhatt. PLB ini bertujuan memperlambat RR, mempertahankan terbukanya jalan napas, dan menghirup udara baru secara maksimal. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus pada pasien pneumonia yang bersedia dilakukan asuhan dengan menggunakan proses keperawatan yaitu dimulai dari pengkajian, menentukan diagnosa, melakukan perencanaan, melaksanakan tindakan keperawatan khususnya menerapkan teknik PLB versi Surya P. Bhatt dengan meminta pasien inhalasi maksimal 2 detik, tahan napas 2 detik, dihembuskan lewat mulut dengan posisi bibir mengerucut 4 detik, dilakukan 3 hari dengan durasi waktu 10 menit pada pagi dan sore, serta menghitung RR sebelum dan setelah dilakukan teknik PLB dengan menggunakan jam tangan berdetik, dan melakukan evaluasi kepada pasien. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara kepada pasien, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Setelah dilakukan tindakan keperawatan selama 3x24 jam didapatkan hasil pola napas tidak efektif teratasi pada hari ketiga, dan setelah dilakukan latihan PLB versi Surya P. Bhatt selama 3 hari pada pagi dan sore hari RR semenit pada kedua pasien menurun. Diharapkan teknik PLB versi Surya P. Bhatt dapat digunakan sebagai terapi alternatif untuk menurunkan frekuensi napas pada pasien pneumonia. BHATT ON CHANGING PATTERNS BREATHING IN PNEUMONIA PATIENTS (Suroto, Mahdalena) xix + 93 pages ; 13 tabels ; 1 image + 14 attachment Pneumonia is a disease that infects the lower respiratory tract, characterized by a cough with phlegm, fever, chills, and shortness of breath which results in changes in the patient's breathing pattern, characterized by a respiratory rate (RR) exceeding normal limits. To overcome this problem, one of the nonpharmacological therapies that can be used is Surya P. Bhatt's version of the pursed lip breathing (PLB) technique. This PLB aims to slow down the RR, maintain an open airway, and inhale maximum new air. This research is a case study of pneumonia patients who are willing to receive care using the nursing process, starting from assessment, determining the diagnosis, planning, carrying out nursing actions, especially applying Surya P. Bhatt's version of the PLB technique by asking the patient to inhale for a maximum of 2 seconds, hold their breath for 2 seconds, exhaled through the mouth with pursed lips for 4 seconds, carried out for 3 days with a duration of 10 minutes in the morning and evening, and calculated the RR before and after the PLB technique was carried out using a ticking watch, and carried out an evaluation of the patient. Data collection methods were carried out by interviewing patients, observation and documentation. After carrying out nursing procedures for 3x24 hours, the results showed that the ineffective breathing pattern was resolved on the third day, and after carrying out Surya P. Bhatt's version of the PLB exercise for 3 days in the morning and evening, the minute RR in both patients decreased. It is hoped that Surya P. Bhatt's version of the PLB technique can be used as an alternative therapy to reduce respiratory frequency in pneumonia patients.
