Perbandingan Pemeriksaan Zat Padat Terlarut Menggunakan Metode 
Gravimetri dan Konduktivitimetri pada Air PDAM Banjarmasin

Pemeriksaan zat padat terlarut dilakukan untuk mengetahui banyaknya 
padatan terlarut yang terkandung dalam air yang kemungkinan besar tercemar. 
Merupakan indikator dari jumlah pertikel atau zat, baik berupa senyawa organik
maupun non organik. Partiket atau zat padat terlarut ditemukan dalam air berupa 
natrium(garam), kasium, kalium, karbonat, nitrat, bikarbonat, klorida dan sulfat. 
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kadar zat padat terlarut pada air 
PDAM dengan metode gravimetri dan konduktivitimetri. Penelitian ini merupakan 
survei analitik menggunakan rancangan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel
penelitian dilakukan secara purposive pada air PDAM Banjarmasin. Pengukuran 
kadar zat padat terlarut dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode gravimetri dan 
konduktivitimetri. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan nilai rat-rata penggukuran kadar 
zat padat terlarut menggunakan metode gravimetri 56,67 mg/L sedangkan metode 
konduktivitimetri 65,87 mg/L. Data dianalisa dengan uji Paired t-Test atau uji-t 
berpasangan dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% didaptkan nilai p = -8.819 Pdengan 
sig. 0.000 (uji 2-arah). Nilai p ≤ 0.05 yang berarti Hi diterima dimana ada perbedaan 
kadar zat padat terlarut menggunakan ke dua metode tersebut. Kesimpulan penelitian 
ini didapatkan hasil pengukuran zat padat terlarut menggunkan metode 
koduktivitimetri lebih tinggi dibandingkan metode gravimetri yang sesuai dengan 
pemeriksaan SNI. Karena adanya perbedaan tersebut disarankan sebaiknya untuk 
pengujian kadar TDS yang diperlukan untuk penelitian sebaiknya menggunakan 
metode gravimetri.

ABSTRACT
Comparison Of Solved Solid (Tds) Examination Using Gravimetric And 
Conductivitimetric Methods In Banjarmasin Water Pdam

Dissolved solids examination is carried out to determine the amount of dissolved 
solids contained in water that is likely to be polluted. Is an indicator of the number of 
particles or substances, both in the form of organic and non-organic compounds. 
Dissolved particles or solids are found in water in the form of sodium (salt), 
potassium, potassium, carbonate, nitrate, bicarbonate, chloride and sulfate. The 
purpose of this study was to determine the levels of dissolved solids in PDAM water 
using the gravimetric and conductivitimetric methods. This research is an analytical 
survey using a cross sectional design. Sampling of the research was carried out 
purposively on PDAM Banjarmasin water. Measurement of dissolved solids levels 
was carried out using the gravimetric and conductivitimetric methods. The results 
showed that the average value of measuring dissolved solids levels using the 
gravimetric method was 56.67 while the conductivity method was 65.87. The data 
were analyzed using the Paired t-Test or paired t-test with a 95% confidence level and 
obtained p = -8.819 with sig. 0.000 (2-way test). The p value ≤ 0.05 which means Hi 
is accepted where there are differences in dissolved solids levels using the two 
methods. From the research, it was found that the results of measuring dissolved 
solids using the conductivity-timemetry method were higher than the gravimetric 
method, which was in accordance with SNI inspection. Because of these differences, 
it is better to test the TDS levels required for research using the gravimetric method.
