ABSTRAK GAMBARAN KADAR C-REACTIVE PROTEIN (CRP) PADA PEROKOK AKTIF DI LINGKUNGAN POLTEKKES KEMENKES BANJARMASIN Peneliti : Syahbrina Nur Anisya Pembimbing : Wahdah Norsiah, Dinna Rakhmina Merokok ialah aktivitas membakar tembakau yang kemudian diisap isinya, baik menggunakan rokok ataupun pipa. Perokok aktif diasumsikan menderita kerusakan jaringan akibat terpapar oleh racun yang ada pada rokok. Kerusakan jaringan akan direspon tubuh dengan sekresi C-Reactive Protein (CRP). CRP merupakan penanda inflamasi dan salah satu protein fase akut yang disintesis di hati untuk memantau secara non-spesifik penyakit lokal maupun sistemik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar CRP pada perokok aktif berdasarkan lama merokok dan jumlah konsumsi rokok. Jenis penelitian bersifat survei deskriptif dengan rancangan cross sectional. Sebanyak 30 perokok aktif yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi diambil darahnya, kemudian dilakukan pemeriksaan CRP dengan metode aglutinasi lateks. Hasil penelitian dengan lama merokok 6-10 tahun menunjukkan 89% (normal) dan 11% (abnormal), lama merokok 11-15 tahun 60% (normal) dan 40% (abnormal), dan lama merokok >20 tahun 86% (normal) dan 14% (abnormal), kemudian jumlah konsumsi rokok 1-10 batang/hari sebanyak 90% (normal) dan 10% (abnormal), jumlah konsumsi rokok 11-20 batang/hari sebanyak 82% (normal) dan 18% (abnormal), dan jumlah konsumsi rokok >20 batang/hari sebanyak 78% (normal) dan 22% (abnormal). Dari 30 sampel 17% menunjukkan kadar CRP abnormal dan 83% menunjukkan kadar CRP normal, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara kadar CRP dengan lama merokok dan jumlah konsumsi rokok. Saran bagi perokok aktif sebaiknya perlahan-lahan untuk menghentikan kebiasan merokok dan bagi peneliti lain untuk selanjutnya diperlukan adanya penelitian kadar IL-6 (Interlukin-6) unuk mengukur tingkat inflamasi pada perokok aktif. Active smokers are assumed of suffer tissue damage due to exposure to the toxins present in cigarettes. The body will respond to tissue damage with the secretion of C-Reactive Protein (CRP). CRP is an inflammatory marker and one of the acute phase proteins synthesized in the liver for non-specific monitoring of local and systemic disease. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of CRP levels in active smokers based on the length of smoking and the amount of cigarette consumption. This type of research is a descriptive survey with a cross sectional design. A total of 30 active smokers who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria had their blood drawn, then CRP examination was performed using the latex agglutination method. The results of the study with smoking duration of 6-10 years showed 89% (normal) and 11% (abnormal), length of smoking 11-15 years 60% (normal) and 40% (abnormal), and duration of smoking >20 years 86% (normal) and 14% (abnormal), then the number of cigarettes consumed 1-10 cigarettes/day was 90% (normal) and 10% (abnormal), the number of cigarettes consumed 11-20 cigarettes/day was 82% (normal) and 18% (abnormal), and the number of cigarettes consumption >20 cigarettes/day as much as 78% (normal) and 22% (abnormal). From 30 samples, 17% showed abnormal CRP levels and 83% showed normal CRP levels, so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between CRP levels with length of smoking and the number of cigarette consumption. Suggestion for active smokers should slowly stop smoking and for other researchers to further study the levels of IL-6 to measure the level of inflammation in active smokers.
