BANJARBARU

Tanaman yang banyak dikonsumsi sebagai sayur salah satunya adalah kangkung, 
sehingga menyebabkan pengembangan budidaya kangkung juga meningkat. 
Penanaman kangkung pada perkebunan yang diberi pupuk dan pestisida 
berpotensi tercemar logam berat. Logam berat yang paling berbahaya adalah 
arsen. Pada kangkung yang tercemar arsen dapat memberikan dampak buruk bagi 
kesehatan jika dikonsumsi oleh manusia dalam jumlah berlebih, bahkan dapat 
menyebabkan terjadinya keracunan arsen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 
menentukan kadar arsen pada kangkung darat di perkebunan Landasan Ulin Kota 
Banjarbaru. Jenis penelitian ini survey deskriptif untuk menggambarkan kadar 
arsen pada kangkung darat menggunakan alat spektofotometer serapan atom pada 
panjang gelombang 193,7 nm. Rancangan penelitian yaitu cross sectional dimana 
pengumpulan dan pemeriksaan dilakukan bersamaan. Populasi sampel sebanyak 4 
lahan perkebunan kangkung darat dimana diambil 3 sampel secara acak dan 
diolah tanpa dicuci terlebih dahulu. Hasil dari uji kuantitatif pada tanaman 
kangkung darat dari 12 sampel semua positif mengandung logam arsen dengan 
rata- rata kadar pada lahan 1 sebesar 1,1247 mg/Kg, pada lahan 2 sebesar 1,929 
mg/Kg, pada lahan 3 sebesar 1,957 mg/Kg, pada lahan 4 sebesar 0,8247 mg/Kg. 
Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa semua sampel mengandung kadar arsen >0,15 
mg/Kg yang melebihi batas dalam standar BPOM (<0,15) tahun 2018. Disarankan 
bagi masyarakat untuk mencuci tanaman terlebih dahulu sebelum dikonsumsi 
untuk mengurangi potensi cemaran logam berat terutama arsen.

ABSTRACT
IDENTIFICATION OF ARSENIC LEVELS IN LAND KANGKUNG
(Ipomoea reptans Poir) AT LANDASAN ULIN BANJARBARU CITY

One of the most consumed plants as vegetables is kale, thus causing the 
development of kale cultivation to also increase. Water spinach planting on 
plantations that are given fertilizers and pesticides has the potential to be 
contaminated with heavy metals. The most dangerous heavy metal is arsenic. 
Water spinach contaminated with arsenic can have a bad impact on health if 
consumed by humans in excessive amounts, it can even cause arsenic poisoning. 
This study aimed to determine the levels of arsenic in land kale in the Banjarbaru 
City Landasan Ulin plantation. This type of research is a descriptive survey to 
describe the levels of arsenic in water spinach using an atomic absorption 
spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 193.7 nm. The research design was crosssectional where the collection and examination were carried out simultaneously. 
The sample population was 4 land kangkung plantations where 3 samples were 
taken randomly and processed without being washed first. The results of the 
quantitative test on land kangkung plants from 12 samples were all positive for 
arsenic metal with an average concentration in field 1 of 1.1247 mg/Kg, on land 2 
of 1.929 mg/Kg, on field 3 of 1.957 mg/Kg, on land 4 of 0.8247 mg/Kg. The 
study concluded that all samples contained arsenic levels >0.15 mg/Kg which 
exceeded the limit in the BPOM standard (<0.15) in 2018. It is recommended for 
the public to wash the plants before consumption to reduce the potential for heavy 
metal contamination, especially arsenic.
