Pemeriksaan protein urine merupakan pemeriksaan skrining untuk 
mengetahui fungsi ginjal dan pre-eklampsia pada wanita hamil. Pulau Kalimantan 
kaya akan sumberdaya hayati yang beraneka ragam dengan keistimewaan 
karakternya seperti buah Jeruk Kasturi. Buah jeruk kasturi (Citrus microcarpa 
bunge) memiliki kandungan asam sitrat mirip dengan asam asetat sifatnya yaitu 
sebagai asam organik lemah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat ada atau 
tidaknya perbedaan menggunakan larutan asam asetat 6% dengan larutan air 
perasan jeruk kasturi dengan konsentrasi 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% dan 100% sebagai 
alternatif reagen pemeriksaan protein urine. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental 
dan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 5 sampel positif protein urine yang 
diambil di Laboratorium Rumah Sakit Umum (RSU) Idaman Kota Banjarbaru. 
Hasil pada penelitian pemeriksaan protein urine menggunakan asam asetat 6% 
adalah +2, +3 dan +4. Hasil pemeriksaan protein urine menggunakan air perasan 
Jeruk Kasturi adalah +2, +3, dan +4. Data yang didapat disajikan dengan uji 
Wilcoxon menggunakan SPSS taraf signifikansi signifikansi 0,05. Berdasarkan uji 
statistik didapatkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 1.000 (p > 0,05). Hasil tersebut 
menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan hasil antara pemeriksaan menggunakan 
larutan air perasan jeruk kasturi konsentrasi 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% dan 100% 
dengan hasil pemeriksaan menggunakan larutan asam asetat 6% (kontrol). Untuk 
penelitian selanjutnya dapat melakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan air 
perasan jeruk kasturi dari konsentrasi 80% sampai konsentrasi 100%.

COMPARISON OF URINE PROTEIN EXAMINATION RESULTS 
USING 6% ACETIC ACID WITH CASTURY ORANGE SQUEEZED 
WATER (Citrus microcarpa bunge)

Urine protein examination is a screening test to determine kidney function 
and pre-eclampsia in pregnant women. The island of Borneo is rich in diverse 
biological resources with distinctive characters such as Kasturi Oranges. Kasturi 
citrus fruit (Citrus microcarpa bunge) contains citric acid similar to acetic acid, 
which is a weak organic acid. The purpose of this study was to determine whether 
or not there was a difference between using a 6% acetic acid solution and a musk 
orange juice solution with a concentration of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% as 
an alternative urine protein test reagent. This research is experimental and the 
samples in this study amounted to 5 positive urine protein samples taken at the 
Idaman General Hospital Laboratory (RSU) Banjarbaru City. The results in the 
study of urine protein examination using 6% acetic acid were +2, +3 and +4. The 
results of urine protein examination using Kasturi Orange juice were +2, +3, and 
+4. The data obtained were presented with the Wilcoxon test using SPSS with a 
significance level of 0.05. Based on statistical tests obtained a significance value 
of 1,000 (p > 0.05). These results indicate that there is no difference in the results 
between the examination using a solution of lime juice with concentrations of 
20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% and the results of the examination using 6% 
acetic acid solution (control). For further research, it is possible to conduct 
research using musk orange juice from a concentration of 80% to a concentration 
of 100%.
