FITOREMEDIASI MENGGUNAKAN TANAMAN AIR ECENG GONDOK DAN KAYU APU  DALAM MENURUNKAN KADAR AMONIAK TOTAL PADA AIR LIMBAH INDUSTRI KARET

Air limbah karet yang dihasilkan banyak mengandung bahan organik yang tinggi, sisa senyawa bahan olahan karet, dan amonia yang cukup tinggi. Secara biologi pengolahan air limbah dengan cara fitoremediasi menggunakan tanaman eceng gondok dan kayu apu mampu menyerap berbagai zat berbahaya yang dapat mencemari perairan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan proses fitoremediasi menggunakan tanaman eceng gondok dan kayu apu dalam menurunkan kadar amonia pada air limbah karet.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Desain penelitian menggunakan pretest-postest with control group design. Populasi penelitian yaitu air limbah pada salah satu industri karet yang ada di Kecamatan Mataraman dan sampel diambil secara grab sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji Two Way Anova untuk mengetahui perbedaan penurunan kadar amoniak total menggunakan tanaman eceng gondok dan kayu apu dalam menurunkan kadar amoniak dengan variasi berat (0 gram, 400 gram, 600 gram dan 800 gram). 
Hasil penelitian menunjukan rata-rata penurunan menggunakan tanaman eceng gondok dengan variasi berat 0 gram 2,73 mg/L, 400 gram 2,67 mg/L, 600 gram 2,51 mg/L dan 800 gram 3,36 mg/L. Sedangkan rata-rata penurunan menggunakan tanaman kayu apu dengan variasi berat 0 gram 2,73 mg/L, 400 gram 1,25 mg/L, 600 gram 1,91 mg/L dan 800 gram 2,22 mg/L.
Kepada peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan menggunakan variasi waktu agar dapat mengetahui pada hari keberapa penurunan yang efektif.

The rubber waste water produced contains a lot of high organic matter, residual compounds from processed rubber materials, and quite high ammonia. Biologically, wastewater treatment by phytoremediation using water hyacinth and apu wood is able to absorb various harmful substances that can pollute the waters. This study aims to determine the ability of the phytoremediation process using water hyacinth and apu wood to reduce ammonia levels in rubber wastewater.
This type of research is experimental. The research design used pretest-posttest with control group design. The research population is wastewater in one of the rubber industries in Mataraman District and the sample is taken by grab sampling. Data analysis used the Two Way Anova test to determine differences in the reduction of total ammonia levels using water hyacinth and apu wood in reducing ammonia levels with variations in weight (0 grams, 400 grams, 600 grams and 800 grams).
The results showed the average decrease in using water hyacinth plants with weight variations of 0 grams 2.73 mg/L, 400 grams 2.67 mg/L, 600 grams 2.51 mg/L and 800 grams 3.36 mg/L. Meanwhile, the average decrease was using apu wood with variations in weight of 0 grams 2.73 mg/L, 400 grams 1.25 mg/L, 600 grams 1.91 mg/L and 800 grams 2.22 mg/L.
Further researchers are expected to use time variations in order to find out on what day of the effective decline.
