ABSTRAK “Efektivitas Ekstrak Etanol Daun Sengkuang (Dracontomelon dao) Terhadap Trichophyton rubrum” Peneliti : Nelza Medyasva Wintyaswan Pembimbing : Ratih Dewi Dwiyanti, Erfan Roebiakto Trichophyton rubrum merupakan salah satu jamur patogen penyebab penyakit dermatofitosis. Pengobatan dermatofit tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian obat antijamur. Salah satu tumbuhan yang memiliki potensi untuk digunakan sebagai obat antijamur yaitu daun sengkuang (Dracontomelon dao) karena adanya kandungan senyawa metabolit seperti saponin, alkaloid, flavonoid, steroid dan tannin yang berpotensi sebagai antijamur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas ekstrak etanol daun sengkuang (Dracontomelon dao) terhadap Trichophyton rubrum. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen sungguhan (True experiment) dengan rancangan Posttest Only Control Group Design yang terdiri dari 5 perlakukan dengan konsentrasi 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% dan 50% ekstrak etanol daun sengkuang dengan 5 kali pengulangan. Uji aktivitas antijamur dilakukan dengan metode dilusi cair KHM dan KBM. Selanjutnya data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KHM ekstrak etanol daun sengkuang terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Trichophyton rubrum terjadi pada konsentrasi 10%. Sedangkan KBM terjadi pada konsentrasi 50%. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun sengkuang efektif terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Trichophyton rubrum terjadi pada konsentrasi 50%. Saran penelitian ini yaitu perlu penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai efektivitas ekstrak etanol daun sengkuang (Dracontomelon dao) dengan konsentrasi yang lebih rendah dalam menghambat pertumbuhan jamur Trichophyton rubrum. One of the plants that has the potential to be used as an antifungal drug is sengkuang leaf (Dracontomelon dao) because of the content of metabolites such as saponins, alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids and tannins which have potential as antifungals. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the ethanol extract of sengkuang leaves (Dracontomelon dao) against Trichophyton rubrum. This type of research is a true experimental (true-experimental) with Posttest Only Control Group Design consisting of 5 treatments with concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% ethanol extract of sengkuang leaves with 5 repetitions. The antifungal activity test was carried out using the liquid dilution method of MIC and KBM. Furthermore, the data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the MIC of ethanol extract of sengkuang leaves on the growth of the fungus Trichophyton rubrum occurred at a concentration of 10%. While KBM occurs at a concentration of 50%. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of sengkuang leaves was effective against the growth of the fungus Trichophyton rubrum at a concentration of 50%. The suggestion of this research is that further research is needed on the effectiveness of ethanol extract of sengkuang (Dracontomelon dao) leaves with lower concentrations in inhibiting the growth of the fungus Trichophyton rubrum.
