Pamsimas merupakan suatu program yang diluncurkan Pemerintah Pusat agar
masyarakat yang berada di daerah pedesaan terjangkau layanan penyediaan air
bersih. Di Kabupaten Barito Kuala tepatnya di Desa Sungai Lirik, Sarana
Pamsimas dibangun pada tahun 2014. Program ini menggunakan air baku yang
berasal dari air Sungai Barito. Berdasarkan survei awal air baku berada di
sepanjang aliran sungai yang terdapat banyak jamban dan proses pengolahan air
hanyak menggunakan tawas dan PAC. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk
mengetahui kualitas air pengolahan Pamsimas di Kabupaten Barito Kuala. 
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif dengan desain
Cross Sectional. Sampel penelitian ini diambil pada empat titik lokasi yaitu pada
sumber air, bak penampung, distribusi pertama dan terakhir. Penelitian ini juga
melakukan observasi terhadap proses pengolahan air sarana Pamsimas. 
Hasil dalam penelitian menunjukkan proses pengolahan air sarana pamsimas
yaitu diawali dari air sungai kemudian dilakukahan tahap screening, koagulasi,
sedimentasi, dan filtrasi. Nilai pH pada sarana ini berkisar 4,00-6,70. Dari 8
sampel, hanya 1 yang memenuhi persyaratan. Nilai kekeruhan berkisar 1,62-60,9
NTU. Dari 8 sampel, terdapat 6 hasil kekeruhan yang memenuhi persyaratan.
Jumlah bakteri total coliform berkisar 20-3300 jml/100ml. Dari 8 sampel tidak
memenuhi persyaratan. 
Upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah melakukan uji jar tes sebelum
pengolahan, penambahan bahan koagulan kapur untuk menetralkan pH, selalu
dilakukan proses desinfeksi, merebus air sebelum diminum.

Pamsimas is a program launched by the Central Government so that
people living in rural areas can be reached by clean water supply services. In
Barito Kuala Regency, precisely in Sungai Lirik Village, Sarana Pamsimas was
built in 2014. This program uses raw water that comes from the Barito River
water. Based on the initial survey, raw water is located along the river flow where
there are many latrines and the water treatment process only uses alum and PAC.
The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of Pamsimas treatment
water in Barito Kuala Regency. 
This research is a descriptive study with a cross sectional design. The
research sample was taken at four location points, namely the water source, the
reservoir, the first and last distribution. This study also made observations on the
water treatment process of the Pamsimas facility. 
The results of the study showed that the water treatment process for the
Pamsimas facility was started from river water and then carried out the screening,
coagulation, sedimentation and filtration stages. The pH value of this facility is in
the range 4.00-6.70. Of the 8 samples, only 1 met the requirements. The turbidity
values ranged from 1.62 to 60.9 NTU. Of the 8 samples, there were 6 turbidity
results that met the requirements. Total coliform bacteria count ranged from 203300

requirements.

Efforts that can be done are doing jar test before processing, adding lime 
coagulant to neutralize pH, always doing the disinfection process, boiling water 
before drinking.
