A method of the family planning injection be part movement national family planning and about their enthusiasts increases .One method of contraception is injection.Weight is side effects often discharging of the family planning injection . The problems subjects are relations discharging of the family planning injection with a rise in weight. Research aims to understand the use of family planning injection relations with a rise in weight acceptors at Puskesmas Sungai Rangas Kabupaten Banjar 2016. The methodology using retrosfective the test case control use chi square with ( 0,05 ) and confidence 95% . The population 1505 people use contraception injection.The case made on sample acceptors injection has increased weight, which is about 92 the and those control by comparison 1:1 used technique quota sampling about 92 people. The results of the study than 92 respondents use contraception injection has increased weight , about 54 people ( 58,7 % ) use contraception injection 3 months and as many as 38 people ( 41,3 % ) contraception injection 1 month .The results of the chi square obtained p value ( 0,012 ) < α ( 0,05 ) showing a relation exists between discharging the family planning injection with a rise in weight and Odds Ratio (OR)=2.211. Conclusion this research there was a correlation discharging the family planning injection with a rise in weight. Was recommended to health workers to emphasize side effects contraceptive injection and to provide information the family planning rational other.
